Since 2005 Lauren has produced a series of works that culminated in her Fine Art University Degree Show and she continues into present day.
The work is autobiographical and uses time along with medical information and imagery such as scans to create a narrative within the art works.
Nothing referenced was constructed for art, but is life documented and presented in a fine art format.
The two pieces ‘Memory Trigger’ and ‘Two Steps Forward One Step Back, Two Steps Forward’ were exhibited at The Mall Galleries, London as part of the Sue Ryder: Art Liberating Lives 2009 exhibition. Where Lauren’s photograph ‘Two Steps Forward One Step Back, Two Steps Forward’ was the winner of the Executive Choice Award.
The photograph ‘Two Steps Forward One Step Back, Two Steps Forward’ is a 8ft long documentary photograph that is composed of 5 images each taken a year apart on the 20th August from 2005 to 2009.
